Random Things- Iphone Project
Lately I have been so busy running around and trying to get things in order and working and completing projects that I don't have time to take pics. I love taking pictures and sometimes of random things.
So about two weeks ago I bought the coolest iPhone app called Hipstamatic. Great app tons of fun, what it does is it give you that old school film approach to digital photography on your iPhone with a bunch of different lenses and flashes and films. The only thing that I didn't like about the app but smart on their side is that when you buy it (1.99) you get three basic films and lenses and one flash. After that you can go to their store and buy the additional lenses and flashes and films. They come as a set so you spend about and extra three to four dollars to get everything. It's totally worth it though and very addicting.
With all that being said I decided to take on a random things project with my iPhone and the different photography apps that I have (hipstamatic and best camera). As I go through and take pics and I get ones that I like I am going to plop them here on the blog and on to my Facebook account for people to check out and tell me what they think.

To Ipad or Not to Ipad
Yesterday Apple announced their newest innovation the "Ipad"(love the name by the way) this device in my opinion is amazing. I have always wanted a device that was a little bigger then my Iphone to do the things that I want to do on a larger scale yet very portable.
This device will not replace my iphone nor will it replace my laptop. It will fill that gap in between. I will use it as a device that allows me to keep track of appointments whether they be photo shoots, design deadlines or remembering my anniversary (yes you can do that with ical and the iphone, but the calendar on this one is way cooler). Not to mention the books, movies, internet surfing, and other activities that I do that ipad supports.
But the biggest thing that I am looking at it for is for its photo sharing abilities. Yes that is right it's photo sharing abilities. I want to use this as a medium to take to my clients and put it in their hands and have them be able to look through the albums of the work that we have done to help decided whether or not they should choose me as there photographer.
So I am going to pose a question, If you were looking at me as a photographer and I gave you this device to look over my work instead of an album of prints what would you think? Good, Bad, don't care, this is kind of cool? Let me know your thoughts on this, please share.

Happy Monday everyone!!! I hope that all of you had a good weekend. I wanted to kick the new week off by offering some specials and a contest. Yep a contest!!
The Bridal Fair was this past Saturday and I hope that those of you who are engaged or planning on getting engaged took the opportunity go up and check it out. We unfortunately were not able to participate in it (but I did hear that they had a water system booth. I think that’s a little weird but hey why not right?) So we thought that we would give you bridal fair specials here on the blog. I know that it’s not quite the same seeing that there is no free food but we do have some goodies for you!!

Now moving on to the Contest.
The contest that we are holding in honor of the bridal fairs... since everyone gives something away for free right? Is an entire Bridal Shoot with a free 11X14. All you have to do is head on over to our contact us page and in the contact us form just pick “Blog Contest “ from the “interested in” drop down list and then you’re in. That’s all you have to do.
How will we pick you wonder? The best way every contest entry should be picked, print out the names put them in a hat and draw one out.
Entries must be submitted before February 5, 2010 and the winner will be announced on February 8, 2010.
Let’s see if we’ve got something here
Well here goes nothing. This is going to be the first blog of hopefully many more to come. I guess we will just have to sit back and see.
Seeing that this is going to be our first blog I should probably let you know what I hope to achieve by having this blog. We hope to be able to provide a resource for other photographers and individuals who are just curious about what we are doing, what we are using and what we are thinking. This blog will not be a “here is my latest work blog” and then nothing. Yes, we will be putting some of our recent work on here but when I do so I hope to be able to ask people what they might think of certain techniques/style and general input .
I also will be doing reviews on gear and products that I purchase and then give my two cents about what I think about them. I hate it when I buy a product or am looking to invest in a product and not quite getting out of it what I had hoped. So I will be doing reviews on gear to training and anything that we might encounter in between.
Then sometimes I will just blather on about a certain thought that I had or an experience that I went through just because I can.
So thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope that you will continue to come back for our future posts.
